MEET THE ACTING CHIEF JUDGE
Hon.Justice. Umar Abubakar
was born in Birnin Kebbi Local Government Area of Kebbi State on 15th April 1959 and attended Town Primary School Birnin Kebbi from 1968 to 1975 where he obtained primary school certificate. He proceeded to GTC Argungu from 1975 to 1980 and later went to State College of Arts and Sciences Sokoto from 1984 to 1986 and proceeded further to Usman Dafodiyo University Sokoto from 1986 to 1990 where he obtained LLB degree in both Common Law and Islamic Law (combined). He attended Nigeria Law School, Lagos, from 1990 to 1991 where he obtained B.L and he was appointed as magistrate on the 2nd January1992.
He was promoted to all grades of magistrates and chief magistrates until when he was appointed as the secretary JSC on the 19th May 1998. He was also appointed as Chief Registrar, High Court of Justice in the year 2003. He was in that capacity until when he was appointed as a High Court Judge on the 15th January 2007 to date. Hon. Justice Umar Abubakar is happily married with children.
The Kebi State Judicial Arm is engaged in the following line of activities, viz:
Hearing and determination of civil proceedings in which the existence or extent of a legal right, power, duty, liability, privilege, interest, obligation or claim is in issue.
Hearing and determination of criminal proceedings involving or relating to any penalty, forfeiture, punishment or other liability in respect of any offence committed by any person.

An affidavit is a written, authenticated statement of fact made under oath, voluntarily written by an affiant to be admissible in a court or other official institutions for various objectives.
ePROBATE
Probate is the judicial confirmation of the authority of the Executor or Executors to carry out the provisions of a Will. It is usually granted upon an application made to the Probate Registrar.

LIS PENDENS
A Lis Pendens is an official notice to the public that a lawsuit involving a claim on a property has been filed. Lis pendens is connected to the concept that a buyer of a property must assume any litigation that exists pertaining to the property.
